To support the launch of Aliviar™ by MedPharm Iowa, we created an intuitive, educational in-store iPad app. The goal? Make medical cannabis approachable, informative, and easy to explore — all from the dispensary floor.
Aliviar is a medical cannabis brand developed by MedPharm Iowa. With product names and benefits unfamiliar to most patients, they needed a way to educate customers in real time — without relying on staff. We built an interactive in-store app that provided clarity, confidence, and a seamless user experience.
Patients visiting the dispensary were often overwhelmed by medical terminology, product options, and inconsistent staff guidance. The brand needed a way to standardize education while still feeling personal and warm.
The app served as an always-on resource in-store, allowing patients to browse Aliviar's full product line, learn about cannabinoids, and choose the right option for them.
The interface design was soft, friendly, and easy to use — especially for first-time cannabis users. We used calming colors, iconography, and clean layouts to ensure a low-stress interaction.
Animations and interactions were kept minimal to maintain performance and keep focus on clarity. Every decision was made with user empathy in mind.
This project helped define Aliviar’s first brand impression in a physical space — building trust through design and education. A true blend of tech and care.
